About This Experience

We anticipate the product will be ready at the conclusion of the track construction, May 2023.

Our camping journey will take in the full 34km trail over 4 wonderful days, pure immersion in the Murramarang Coast. In the true spirit of adventure, set off with your travel companions, your pack of essentials and be assured of simple pleasure as you journey through the landscape.

By day enjoy the trail, expert guides unveil its secrets and highlights, by night enjoy amazing meals together, comfort around camp, retire to your cosy tent and wake to the sounds of the ocean to greet you for another day.

This is a truly special way to experience the landscape, although not for everyone as you will be carrying your pack for 3+ days with your essentials and some group food, our team agree the rewards and connections from this experience far outweigh the weight of your pack!

Prior to your experience

Our admin team will ensure you are matched to the right experience and work with you through the full itinerary and packing list as you lead up to your experience with us. The average walking distance on this experience is 12 km per day, however with the addition of optional side walks and carrying a loaded pack we do encourage you to keep up the exercise program as your lead up to your experience.

Day 1

Day 1

After collection from your Batemans Bay accommodation we enter the park and start our journey at the southernmost point, Maloneys Beach. Here our trail winds from rock platform to beautiful beach prior to rounding the corner of Batemans Bay at Yellow Rock, a striking yellow mass. This marks the end of the tranquil Batemans Bay waters and the start of the Tasman Sea, here sea birds and spring migrating whales become part of the "recommended viewing list".
The next major beach is North head, where the rock pools make a great spot for lunch, or a quick dip!
Tonight we choose to camp a little further on at any number of private sites. Camp is a relaxed affair while you go about setting up your tent site, your guide team will be busy with kitchen set up and preparing a decision meal for your group. Helping out is always encouraged and you may find many tasks that are helpful such as collecting sea water for dishes, firewood or kitchen duties.

Day 2

Day 2

Wake early to the smell of coffee or your favourite cuppa, sunrise over the Tasman sea is encouraged as you sip and wake to the sounds of the ocean. Mornings are a relaxing affair where we stretch the bodies for another day on the trail and enjoy a nutritious breakfast.
Today the trail experiences a significant geological change. We leave the older Ordovician beds of the Lachlan fold belt and enter the Permian Sydney Basin. The basin creates spectacular outcrops, ironstone boxwork and is evidence of a time when the earth was changing from a glacial state. Our guides will show you fossilized timber and chat about the layers over lunch.
Tonight we choose to make camp at any numbers of spots depending on group speed and desires. We settle in to our new waterfront location, lets see what our guides prepare for dinner tonight!

Day 3

Day 3

The dominant Murramarang range is a feature of todays walking, the large range rising steeply from the ocean gives a tropical walking feel through the most remote section of the park. We cross creeks, through ancient cycads and witness never ending remote beauty along the trail. We pass numerous swim spots stopping where we like to dip and enjoy lunch.
Tonight we experience our last night camping, with another magic location at Pretty beach to treat us along the trail.
