Based out of the seaside town of Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast, just 4 hours driving from Sydney and 2 Hours from Canberra. Since the successful launch of the hike in Spring 2017, Region X have developed the experience into a 3 day, fully guided hike that spans 36 wonderful kilometres.
Director: Our aim is to showcase this truly world class area to the network of adventurers that use their travel time to visit some of the worlds iconic hiking locations”. We would like to think the experience we have developed here rivals the Bay of Fires in Tasmania, the Milford track in NZ and should definitely be on a hikers buckets list.
The hike Starts on Day 1 with a hotel pickup from Batemans Bay and a short drive into the National Park prior to setting off on the trail. Cliff tops, views, beaches and sections of no marked trail are a feature of Day 1.

Arrival to Murramarang Beachfront Resort marks the end of your days hike as you settle into your comfortable Garden Villa accommodation. Choose to relax at the beach or by the pool, and dine at the onsite restaurant.
Hiking on day 2 is made up mostly of long sandy beaches and a possible river crossing at the Durras Lake mouth. An interesting and challenging ascent over Point Upright marks a great spot to take a short detour out to amazing viewing, if your lucky spot whales from here!!
The end of Day 2 hikers arrive at the cosy Depot Beach Cottages and settle in, read a book, hit the beach or join the guides for an impromptu snorkel session on the reef. Dinner is cooked at your cabin by the guide team.
Day 3 hiking for me is where the hike is at its most impressive, boardwalks, beaches, rock platforms and rainforest trails!
All in all the fully catered and guided three day hike along the Murramarang Coast has surely got to be one of the Worlds Greatest 3 Day hikes.
