Did you know we now run single and multi-day school group programs?

Step out of the classroom and into our dynamic learning environment to hike, kayak, swim and discover the diversity of the NSW South Coast.

Kids LOVE getting outdoors, and the Eurobodalla area within which we operate is teeming with educational opportunities. Learn about the area’s abundant biodiversity, threatened species, geology, aboriginal significance and our impact on the environment, all while developing new skills.

Short Sessions (2hrs)

Teamwork, challenge and FUN is the focus of our short sessions. Learn the fundamentals of kayaking such as launching, landing, paddling, water-safety, and negotiating tides and surf zones, before jumping into some seriously awesome team games.

Along the way, the group will learn about the intricate mangrove ecosystem, diverse wildlife, and the effects of erosion and other environmental impacts along the crystal-clear waters of the Tomaga River.

The session will culminate in a series of fun and challenging activities guaranteed to get them in the water!

Choose from either fun, comfortable sit-on-top kayaks for an easy-going day on the water, or our capable sea crafts with all the bells and whistles for a more advanced lesson.

One Day Sea Kayak Journey

Our one-day program combines all of the elements of the short session with more advanced skill development.

The group will be taught advanced paddle strokes, capsize drills and towing techniques, enhancing their confidence in the water before heading out to the great wide Pacific Ocean!

Spot seals, dolphins and an abundance of other marine life from your floating classroom, before  navigating to a remote location only accessible by kayak. Here the kids will be encouraged to explore beneath the surface, with the option to snorkel within a stunning sanctuary zone.

Amazing!

Overnight or Multiday Expedition

Our overnight and multi-day packages are the more challenging, enriching and immersive experience as students plan, manage and lead the group across rugged, diverse coastline within the Batemans Bay and Murramarang National Park regions. One, two and three night packages available.

Preparation is everything when it comes to longer expeditions. The students will learn how to properly pack their sea craft and/or hiking satchel, plan routes across unmarked terrain and translate weather condition reports.

The kids will gain exposure to a variety of activities and environments, hiking one day and sea kayaking the next, with group roles rotating among the students, giving everyone the opportunity to exercise their leadership skills. Camp out under the stars at a remote destination where the lessons continue. Practice First Aid, learn survival techniques, food preparation, campsite etiquette and hygiene, and the importance of leaving no trace.

It’s not all serious though! Soak up the opportunities for a leisurely swim and participate in team-building games and competitions as the sunsets, before sharing a yarn by the campfire.
