A Sea Kayak is a highly capable craft, often referred to as the “Bear of the Sea”.
Its a know fact that most winter days its on average 6 degrees warmer on the temperate South Coast of NSW than anywhere West of the Great Dividing range. #itswarmer
When you participate in Sea Kayaking, The paddler (thats you) is issued:
- A neoprene “spray deck” – worn just like a skirt and designed to create a watertight seal between your body and the kayak- keeping any water off you legs and out of the kayak.
- A waterproof and windproof jacket – worn over the skirt to create a protective layer above your waist making it impossible for water to penetrate and leak down into your kayak.
- A compulsory Personal Floatation device. Not just an important safety feature but a very insulative item, body heat is trapped by the high density foam making you nice and cosy.
In fact the coldest you will be is deciding weather you should book this adventure!
